Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Sr. Product Manager - Tech, to lead the development and optimization of workflows related to asset distribution, management and metadata strategies, in our Amazon Studios Technology Organization. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of digital asset workflows with technical fluency, customer obsession, and a proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects to completion. This role will require strong leadership, excellent product requirements writing skills, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with diverse teams across the organization.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on how creative assets are managed, distributed, discovered, and utilized in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Experience in the media and entertainment industry is a plus but not required.

Key job responsibilities
* Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and drive product roadmaps aligned to customer needs and business goals, prioritizing features based on impact and feasibility.
* Write Clear Product Requirements: Translate complex workflows and business needs into clear, actionable product specifications and user stories.
* Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions at scale.
* Program Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring smooth execution of high-impact initiatives.
* Customer Discovery: Conduct customer interviews, gather insights, and validate hypotheses through prototypes and user testing.
* Metadata and Digital Asset Management (DAM) Best Practices: Working with our metadata library customers, and asset management teams to implement and optimize asset and metadata standards to improve discoverability, re-usability, and distribution workflows.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Define KPI's, analyze user data and operational metrics, and iterate on features and processes to optimize outcomes.
* Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand system architecture, make trade-off decisions, and ensure feasibility and scalability.
* Risk Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation plans to minimize impact on delivery timelines and product quality.
* Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI/ML solutions, to enhance asset management workflows where appropriate.
* Agile Practices: Lead agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure agile best practices are embedded in team workflows.


About the team
You will be at the center of transforming how digital assets are managed, distributed, and leveraged. By shaping asset workflows, metadata strategies, and distribution processes, you will help our customers enhance content discoverability, enable operational efficiency, and drive innovation. Your leadership will be pivotal in delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that directly impact our creative, technical, and business teams.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence best practices in asset management and distribution, leveraging both traditional and emerging technologies to drive innovation. - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
