Data Center Security Operations Manager

Who you are

You have a strong background in security operations management, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams in a high-stakes environment. You understand the complexities of physical security in a cloud infrastructure context and have a proven track record of developing and implementing security protocols that protect personnel and data. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to effectively convey security events and programs to various stakeholders. You are adept at collaborating with vendors and regional security resources to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

You possess a deep understanding of the security landscape, particularly in relation to cloud operations. Your experience includes developing Site Specific Post Orders (SSPOs) and coordinating security assessments and designs. You are familiar with the latest security technologies and practices, and you are committed to maintaining the highest standards of security within your organization. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about building a culture of security awareness.

Desirable

Experience in managing security operations for large-scale data centers is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and its security features will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You may also have certifications in security management or related fields, which would further demonstrate your expertise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be accountable for the physical security operations at Microsoft’s datacenters. You will lead a team of security professionals and work closely with vendors to ensure that all security measures are effectively implemented and maintained. Your responsibilities will include developing and updating security protocols, conducting regular assessments of security practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You will coordinate with regional security resources to evaluate and assess security needs, and you will partner with leadership to align security strategies with organizational goals. Your role will also involve communicating security events and updates to stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and prepared to respond to potential security incidents.

As a leader, you will mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness. You will be responsible for conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of your team members. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a proactive security environment that prioritizes the safety of personnel and the integrity of data.
