GitLab is seeking a Director of Sales Incentive Compensation to design and improve incentive programs for their Chief Revenue Officer organization. Who you are

You have a strong background in sales operations and compensation design, with a proven track record of developing effective incentive programs that drive performance and align with business objectives. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compensation plans are clear, fair, and competitive. You understand the nuances of sales compensation and can translate complex strategies into actionable plans that motivate sales teams.

You are data-driven and analytical, capable of using metrics to assess the effectiveness of incentive programs and make data-informed recommendations for improvements. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to present compensation strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to fostering a high-performance culture.

Desirable

Experience in a technology or software company is a plus, as is familiarity with AI-powered platforms. You have a keen understanding of the sales cycle and the factors that influence sales performance. Your ability to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions will be crucial in this role.

What you'll do

As the Director of Sales Incentive Compensation, you will own the design, operation, and continuous improvement of incentive programs that support GitLab's revenue goals. You will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and other leaders to align compensation strategies with the company's overall go-to-market strategy. Your role will involve analyzing sales performance data to ensure that incentive plans are driving the desired behaviors and outcomes.

In addition, you will monitor industry trends and best practices in sales compensation to ensure that GitLab remains competitive in attracting and retaining top sales talent. You will collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure that compensation plans are aligned with budgetary constraints and organizational goals.
