Amazon’s Finance Operations department is seeking a Cash Application Analyst for Transportation business. This role is vital for accurately posting and applying payments to the correct customer accounts and receivable invoices. Key responsibilities include cash application, reconciling payments, communicating cash adjustments, and reducing unapplied cash receipts on aged accounts receivable. The core focus is to collaborate with various functional departments to ensure the accurate and timely processing of daily payment inflows. The successful candidate is also expected to analyze reports, reconcile large volumes of data, and effectively communicate results to management. Additionally, this role will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Possess understanding of the Accounts Receivable process.
•Process receipts and credit memos in a timely manner to ensure accurate maintenance of accounts receivable balances.
•Identify and reconcile payment discrepancies, track and resolve unidentified/unapplied receipts.
•Apply data analysis and statistical techniques to address issues at their root causes.
•Prepare, maintain, and distribute regular reports to stakeholders.
•Assist in optimizing the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for improvement.
•Perform tasks as requested by management, which may include testing and process enhancement.
•Consistently meet monthly productivity targets and deadlines.- Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Possess ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate excellent team player qualities with good interpersonal skills- 1+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience with Oracle Financials or other Finance ERP tools
