Coupang is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer for their Fulfillment Center to oversee automation equipment maintenance and management. You'll work with PLC and HMI systems to ensure operational efficiency. This role requires over 4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical fields.
You have over 4 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or control systems, and you've successfully managed teams of 5 or more towards achieving operational goals. Your background includes hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, particularly with automation systems like conveyors and automated sorting machines. You are comfortable working in shifts, including both day and night schedules, and you understand the importance of maintaining optimal equipment performance to minimize downtime.
You possess a strong understanding of key performance indicators related to equipment operation, such as MTBF and MTTR, and you can analyze these metrics to drive improvements. Your experience includes managing spare parts inventory to ensure that critical components are always available, which is essential for maintaining operational continuity. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement in automation systems and have a track record of implementing effective solutions.
You have experience in improving automation equipment and hold relevant certifications in mechanical or electrical engineering. Your skills include modifying PLC logic and inverter parameters, as well as creating and editing HMI interfaces. You have also been involved in localizing mechanical components and managing spare parts effectively. Your background includes setting up equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and preventive care of automation equipment within the Fulfillment Center. This includes overseeing the operation of conveyors, automatic sorting machines, and automated storage systems. You will analyze operational metrics to ensure that equipment is functioning optimally and will manage a team to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
You will conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their skills in equipment operation and maintenance. Your role will also involve collaborating with other departments to ensure that the Fulfillment Center operates smoothly and meets its performance targets. You will be expected to manage shift schedules and ensure that all team members are adequately trained and prepared for their roles.
Coupang offers a full-time position with a 12-week probation period.
