Opendoor is seeking a US Payroll and Stock Administration Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance. You'll work in the Phoenix office and collaborate with various departments to improve payroll processes.
You have a strong background in payroll processing and compliance, with experience in handling both hourly and salary payroll. You understand the importance of accuracy and timeliness in payroll administration, and you are skilled at auditing and resolving discrepancies. You are detail-oriented and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. You possess excellent customer service skills, enabling you to address payroll-related inquiries from employees effectively.
Experience with Canadian payroll processing is a plus, as well as familiarity with tax compliance requirements across multiple states. You are proactive in identifying areas for process improvement and have a collaborative mindset, working well with team members and other departments.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for US employees, ensuring that all payroll functions are executed correctly. You will perform audits of employee records to ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in setting up withholding accounts with appropriate agencies. You will also review payroll tax compliance notices and research requirements as the company expands into new states. Your role will involve balancing quarter-end and year-end wages, ensuring accuracy before finalizing W2 filings. You will collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements, including testing system enhancements to streamline payroll operations.
