Your experience includes manual functional testing, particularly for first-party applications on iOS and macOS, where you have designed and implemented test plans and test cases. You are familiar with risk analysis and integration testing across various platforms, and you have a keen eye for identifying and escalating build quality issues.

Desirable

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks would be a plus, as would familiarity with continuous integration processes. A background in software development, particularly in mobile applications, can enhance your ability to understand the intricacies of the software you are testing. What you'll do

As an OS Release QA Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in the quality assurance of our software releases. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct manual functional testing of applications on iOS and macOS, ensuring that they meet the high standards expected by our users. You will design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, focusing on application-level functionality and user experience. You will also perform risk analysis to identify potential issues early in the testing process, allowing for timely resolutions.

In addition to manual testing, you will engage in end-to-end testing of both small and large-scale software features across multiple platforms. This will involve collaborating with different QA teams to design and review tests and coverage plans, ensuring alignment with overall quality objectives. You will conduct system and integration tests, providing feedback and insights that will help improve the overall quality of our software.

Your role will also require you to identify, escalate, and communicate key build quality issues to relevant stakeholders. You will work closely with development teams to resolve critical issues affecting build quality, contributing to a seamless user experience. Your ability to analyze and communicate findings will be essential in driving improvements in our testing processes and software quality.
