Digital Asset Operations Specialist

Your Purpose
As the Digital Asset/Stablecoin Operations Specialist, you will be at the heart of one of Bitso's key bets - to build the leading stablecoin issuer in Latin America and help revolutionize finance in the global south through cutting-edge cryptocurrency solutions. In this pivotal role, you will help drive the operational excellence of our stablecoin issuance ecosystem, managing critical processes from minting and redemption of the stablecoins we issue to fiat operations with key banking partners, and you will help drive the customers’ integration to the stablecoin systems to issue or redeem the token. You'll leverage innovative technologies like Fireblocks along with our own infrastructure to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable operations. Who You Are 

• Proven English fluency.
• Experience (2+ years) in financial operations, with a focus on cryptocurrency or stablecoin operations.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing digital asset custody solutions (ideally Fireblocks or a similar platform) including policy configuration and operational workflows.
• Strong understanding of fiat currency transfer protocols and banking operations, with a proven ability to manage relationships with banking partners.
• Experience in overseeing complex automated systems and processes, with a focus on maintaining operational integrity, driving efficiency and identifying areas for optimization.
• Experience in building operational dashboards for transaction monitoring and data analysis
• Experience in API integration and customer-support, overseeing business processes and integration follow-ups
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to clearly articulate complex operational processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in the face of change.

 

What You Will Do 

• Operational Management:
  • Help oversee the daily operational activities of stablecoin minting and redemption processes, ensuring accuracy, security, and efficiency.  
  • Coordinate and execute fiat transfers with banking partners, including reserve management and reconciliation.  
  • Manage and configure Fireblocks for secure and efficient stablecoin operations, including enforcing and maintaining governance rules and policies.  
  • Monitor and ensure the integrity of automated systems and processes related to stablecoin and fiat operations, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. 
• Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Oversee and ensure the implementation of advanced risk management and compliance strategies, ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of security and alignment with Bitso’s broader operational risk frameworks. 
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Externally, act as a leading operational point of accountability to Bitso’s external partners, including members of the BRL1 stablecoin consortium and our banking partners
  • Internally, collaborate and manage relationships with Bitso Payment Ops, Legal, Compliance, and Prodtech teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of stablecoin issuance and redemption processes and clear cross-functional communication on key issues.
