What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Planner Reasoning team, you will develop and implement software solutions that evolve the driving performance of the Waymo Driver. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the Waymo Driver complies with safety regulations and road rules while providing a smooth ride quality. Your role will involve analyzing large datasets to evaluate new proposed changes and improve driving behaviors. You will contribute to the architecture of both onboard and off-board systems, paving the way for future advancements in deep learning applications within the autonomous driving space. You will also participate in code reviews and collaborate with other engineers to maintain high standards of software quality and performance. Your contributions will directly impact the scaling of the Waymo Driver's performance as the company expands into new cities.
