Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Summer 2026 Graduate Engineer to tackle real aerospace challenges and contribute to innovative solutions. This role is ideal for candidates enrolled in a graduate program with a background in engineering, physics, or math.

Job Description

Who you are

You are currently enrolled in a graduate program and hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a math discipline. You have demonstrated a commitment to academic success, ideally with a GPA of 3.5 or above. You possess at least 6 months of applied engineering experience, which can include internships, laboratory work, or personal/team projects. You are a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, and you are motivated to apply your knowledge outside of the classroom.

You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to take on responsibilities similar to those of full-time engineers. You are passionate about aerospace and are excited about the possibility of contributing to SpaceX’s mission of enabling human life on Mars. You are adaptable and open to working across various engineering teams, including design, manufacturing, and operations.

Desirable

Experience with technical skills applied outside of the classroom is preferred, as is a strong academic record. You are a proactive learner who is ready to engage with complex engineering challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.

What you'll do

As a Graduate Engineer at SpaceX, you will work on creative solutions to real aerospace challenges. You will collaborate with experienced engineers across various teams, gaining hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.
