Overview

Google is seeking a Senior UX Program Manager to manage and scale UX-related programs. You'll leverage user-centered development tools and methodologies to drive projects within the UX organization. This role requires 8 years of experience and strong communication skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience managing and scaling UX-related programs. Your background includes a deep understanding of UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies. You are skilled in analyzing data and leveraging insights to develop effective solutions. Your experience includes engaging with Director-level stakeholders and communicating complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

You are knowledgeable about the product development lifecycle and have successfully executed and landed organizational change management efforts. You stay informed about industry-wide technology trends and issues, which helps you build effective strategies and roadmaps. You excel in building cadenced progress reports and advocating for user-centered project goals that align with long-term objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee critical efforts for broader or cross-functional projects, programs, and strategies within Google's UX organization. You will drive projects that increase communication and connection points, streamline the UX design process, and foster a culture of user-centered development. Your responsibilities will include managing large, complex programs while helping to build an efficient organization. You will advocate for the establishment of key UX metrics that drive a culture of user-centered development across a wide range of program work.

You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to gather insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of users. Your role will involve establishing user-centered project goals and ensuring that they align with the broader objectives of the organization. You will also be responsible for building strategy and roadmaps that guide the UX team in delivering industry-leading products.
