Job Description

The Amazon Luna team is leveraging the power of the cloud to enable customers to experience the rich and immersive world of gaming on all of their existing devices. Luna represents an exciting and truly new product and business, with a high degree of innovation, and an opportunity to reach a large volume of passionate customers.

This is an early stage initiative with a fast-paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside Amazon. This is an exciting opportunity for a flexible and entrepreneurial individual who is comfortable operating with ambiguity. We are looking for a highly design leader who is excited to work closely with a cross-functional team to create end to end customer flows, interaction design, and prototypes for new and existing experiences.


* We are looking for a talented and experienced hands-on design leader who can establish a vision and strategy, scale their impact by empowering designers, and elevate the design quality of the entire team
* You will operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for current and future iterations of the Luna product
* You will be working alongside a unique and gifted multidisciplinary team engaged in a fast-paced mission to define and deliver new product features
* You are a self-starter who brings original ideas and fresh approaches to each project you work on
* You are responsive, curious, and thrive in collaborative work environments



Key job responsibilities
* Own multiple complex design initiatives across Luna, Amazon partner teams, and external partners
* Quickly and iteratively on create user flows, prototypes, and high fidelity mockups
* Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to balance business goals, technical constraints with design excellence
* Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design
* Analyze metrics post-launch to inform design/UX optimization efforts
* High velocity decision-making under tight timelines
* Maintain design systems and guidelines for simple, consistent experiences across products and features
* Ability to work through ambiguity
* Committed to growing and mentoring others on the team
* Last but not least, have fun in the process!- 10+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools- Experience designing TV interfaces and directional (D-pad) inputs
- Experience in gaming, entertainment, e-commerce, or marketplaces
- Expertise in visual design, motion design, marketing design, information architecture
- Experience in planning and executing user testing and research
- Knowledge in accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles
- Experience in developing and maintaining design systems
- Experience working with and presenting to executive level leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
