Verkada is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of their Access Control products. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to create cutting-edge hardware solutions. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering and product development.
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience leading the design and development of hardware products. You understand the intricacies of system architecture and component selection, and you are skilled in schematic and layout development. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and product managers to bring innovative products to life. Your attention to detail ensures that all hardware specifications are accurately captured in documentation. You are proactive in performing competitive analysis to inform product development.
In this role, you will lead the electrical engineering efforts for new Access Control products from initial proof of concept through to mass production. You will collaborate with an international team of hardware engineers and other stakeholders to develop new products that meet market needs. You will own the system architecture and component selection, ensuring that all designs are robust and scalable. Your responsibilities will include leading schematic and layout reviews, as well as maintaining the Hardware Requirements Document to ensure it reflects all necessary specifications. You will also engage in competitive analysis to keep the product offerings ahead of the market.
