Waymo is seeking a Program Manager for Public Safety Outreach to develop frameworks and response strategies for incident readiness and business continuity. This role involves proactive outreach programs and technical training for First Responders and Public Safety officials.
You have a strong background in program management, ideally with experience in public safety or emergency response. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders ensures that you can bridge the gap between technology and field-level operations. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for developing frameworks that enhance operational readiness. Your experience in training and outreach programs makes you a valuable asset in ensuring that first responders are well-prepared to interact with autonomous technologies. You understand the importance of building trust within communities and have a proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships with public safety officials.
Experience in the autonomous vehicle industry or related fields is a plus. Familiarity with incident management and business continuity planning will set you apart. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment and can adapt to the needs of a fast-evolving technology landscape.
In this role, you will report to the Head of the Enterprise Resilience team and be responsible for designing and scaling outreach programs that educate first responders about autonomous vehicle interactions. You will develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure that public safety officials have a clear understanding of the operational protocols necessary for safe interactions with Waymo's technology. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to create standardized communication that serves as the 'Source of Truth' for autonomous vehicle operations. You will also be tasked with assessing the effectiveness of outreach initiatives and making recommendations for improvements based on feedback from participants. Your role will require you to stay informed about the latest developments in autonomous driving technology and public safety protocols, ensuring that your outreach efforts are relevant and impactful.
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $190,000—$241,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
