Senior Software Engineer, C2C Services

Who you are

You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, primarily focused on backend systems — you've designed and built large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language such as Java, C#, or Go. You are comfortable working across the stack of a modern web application, including technologies like React and TypeScript, and you stay up to date on the latest advancements in cloud computing and software development.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are adept at tackling difficult technical challenges in a distributed environment. You have experience with at least one major cloud provider technology, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and you understand the intricacies of deploying and managing applications in the cloud. Your ability to mentor and contribute to the growth of team members is a key aspect of your professional profile.

Desirable

Experience with MongoDB is a plus, as is familiarity with automated data migration services. You are a proactive communicator who can effectively collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to build features that enhance user experience. Your leadership skills enable you to own the planning and delivery of major features from ideation through design and implementation.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Migration Services team, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing fully automated, low-downtime data migration services at cloud scale. You will work closely with product, design, and engineers across the organization to collectively build features that our customers love. Your role will involve solving complex technical problems and addressing scalability, performance, and usability challenges.

You will own the planning and delivery of major features, defining your top priorities and executing against them. Your contributions will directly impact the success of MongoDB Atlas, as you design and build new solutions that enhance our migration services. You will also mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
