Overview

Xometry is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to enhance supplier engagement and performance. You'll work closely with manufacturing partners to optimize their capabilities and ensure readiness for complex projects. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and experience in supplier management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in supplier development and engagement, with a focus on building trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners. Your experience includes coaching partners on industry best practices related to documentation, finishing processes, and quality assurance. You understand the complexities of high-stakes projects, particularly in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical. You are proactive in optimizing supplier performance and managing risks associated with production programs.

You thrive in collaborative environments, effectively bridging the gap between internal technical sales and sourcing teams and external suppliers. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively ensures that all parties are aligned and prepared for the challenges of complex projects. You are motivated by the opportunity to make a significant impact on supplier readiness and engagement.

Desirable

Experience in highly regulated industries is a plus, as is familiarity with the Xometry platform. You are adaptable and open to learning new processes and technologies that can enhance supplier performance and engagement. Your analytical skills allow you to assess supplier capabilities and identify areas for improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse network of manufacturing partners.
