BitMEX is hiring a Senior Offensive Security Engineer to enhance the security posture of their platform. You'll work with tools like Burp Suite and OWASP to maintain critical security systems. This role requires experience in offensive security practices.
You are an experienced Offensive Security Professional with a strong background in maintaining and improving security systems. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of offensive security methodologies and tools. You are capable of working collaboratively with engineering and DevOps teams to enhance security practices across the organization. Your expertise includes using tools like Burp Suite and Metasploit, and you are familiar with OWASP principles. You thrive in a remote work environment and are flexible in your approach to problem-solving.
Experience with cryptocurrency platforms or financial services is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory compliance in the crypto space. You are proactive in staying updated with the latest security trends and vulnerabilities, and you have a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments and penetration testing on BitMEX's systems and applications. You will collaborate with the Product Security team to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies. Your work will involve analyzing security incidents and developing strategies to prevent future occurrences. You will also assist in the development of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will participate in team-building events and contribute to a positive remote work culture.
