Job Description

Do you want to learn what it takes to deliver billions of ads from thousands of advertisers across the globe instantly that enhance the shopping experience with highly relevant and engaging advertising? The Ad Supply Engineering team provides tools and services to create, deliver, and manage ads on Amazon.com and other Amazon properties. We innovate on a daily basis to meet these needs with new tools, products, and services designed to expand the capacity to deliver and maximize value to our customers and Amazon.

The Advertising Supply & Monetization team has ownership of advertising placements (supply) that appear across Amazon’s global owned and operated platforms, and effective monetization of this supply. We are tasked with maximizing the long-term value that Amazon creates across its Display Advertising Business by delivering an engaging ad experience to millions of customers each day.

You will help create products that expand our ad supply, generate highly relevant advertising content, and drive optimal performance and monetization. You will build high scale and low latency platform services that support ad selection and delivery. You will generate insights through data that guide our business decisions and investment. With ownership of both traditional guaranteed display and network based demand channels, the team works with a broad stakeholder group across advertisers, sales, finance, ad programs, and supply owners. You will partner with engineering teams to identify and execute on the most promising opportunities. We will take your knowledge and experience and challenge you to innovate on our platform to create the next generation of advertising products and services.

Key job responsibilities
Software engineers in this role manage many real-time advertising services that serve traffic at the Amazon retail scale. You will develop, design and maintain these services, and innovate on new features and improvements to delight our customers.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
