At Databricks, we are on a mission to empower our customers to solve the world's toughest data problems by utilizing the Lakehouse platform. As a Lead Scale Solution Engineer, you will play a critical role during this customer journey. You will directly work with customers to help them onboard and deploy Databricks in a production environment. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Technical Services

The impact you will have 

• You will be part of a team responsible for onboarding new customers to the Databricks Data Intelligence platform, as well as assisting existing customers to deploy new use cases on the platform.
• You will become an expert on the Databricks Data Intelligence platform and guide customers to make the best technical decisions to achieve their goals
• You will actively work across multiple customer onboarding and track and report on their progress. 
• You will contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our catalog of services
• You will mentor new joiners to accelerate their onboarding process.
• You will collaborate with hiring managers in the interview process to conduct interviews

What we look for 

• Extensive experience in a customer-facing technical role in pre-sales, professional services, consulting or customer success.
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, HPO)
• Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Knowledge of at least 1 public cloud platform AWS, Azure or GCP 
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end data analytics architecture and workflow. 
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills Nice to have: Databricks Certification
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience
