You are proactive in identifying barriers to treatment and possess the skills to address these challenges effectively. You understand the nuances of family dynamics and can personalize Equip’s programming to meet the unique needs of each family. Your ability to engage caregivers in the treatment process is crucial, as you help them develop the skills necessary for supporting their loved ones.

You are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that all caregivers feel valued and understood. You are adaptable and can work in a fully virtual environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to provide the best support possible.

Desirable

Experience in mental health support or counseling is a plus, as is familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches for eating disorders. You may have previous experience working with families in a healthcare setting, which would enhance your ability to connect with caregivers.

What you'll do

As a Family Mentor at Equip Health, you will play a vital role in the treatment process by working closely with caregivers to ensure they are engaged and adhering to care plans. You will proactively identify any barriers that may hinder their involvement and work collaboratively with the care team to address these issues. Your goal is to empower caregivers by providing them with the tools and resources they need to support their loved ones effectively.

You will personalize Equip’s programming to meet the specific needs of each family, ensuring that they feel supported throughout the treatment journey. This may involve developing tailored strategies that address individual family dynamics and challenges. You will also facilitate communication between caregivers and the rest of the care team, ensuring that everyone is aligned in their approach to treatment.

Your role will require you to stay informed about best practices in family support and eating disorder treatment, allowing you to provide the most relevant and effective guidance to caregivers. You will also participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in this area.
