Overview

Datadog is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for their Threat Detection Engineering team to develop impactful security detection content. Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, particularly in threat detection and response. Your background includes working with cloud native technologies and understanding the threat landscape, allowing you to develop effective security solutions. You are skilled in using various security tools and platforms, including Datadog, to enhance security measures. Your expertise in Python and Linux enables you to create scripts and tools that automate security processes and improve detection capabilities. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to share insights and improve security practices. You are passionate about staying updated on the latest security trends and vulnerabilities, ensuring that your knowledge is applied to protect customers effectively.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards. You may also have experience contributing to open source security projects or engaging with the security community to share knowledge and best practices.

What you'll do

As a Senior Security Engineer in Threat Detection Engineering, you will be responsible for developing high-quality threat detection content that leverages a variety of data sources, particularly focusing on cloud native datasets.
