Verkada is seeking an Embedded Linux Security Engineer to enhance the security of their physical security products. You'll work closely with firmware and backend engineers to develop security requirements and tooling. This role requires expertise in embedded systems and security practices.
You have a strong background in embedded systems, particularly with Embedded Linux, and a passion for security engineering. Your experience includes developing security requirements for hardware and firmware, ensuring that products meet high security standards. You are familiar with secure development practices and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security into product design. Your analytical skills enable you to perform red team assessments and provide actionable recommendations for improving security posture. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest security threats and mitigation strategies.
Experience with cloud security and familiarity with AI-powered security solutions would be a plus. Knowledge of compliance standards and frameworks related to security can enhance your candidacy. If you have a background in physical security systems, that would be beneficial as well.
As an Embedded Linux Security Engineer at Verkada, you will be responsible for defining and driving security requirements for the hardware and firmware of our devices.
