Workato is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development of their AI-powered enterprise orchestration platform. You'll work with Java and Python to streamline operations and enhance workflows. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a genuine interest in intelligent automation.
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in building scalable applications and troubleshooting complex issues. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to develop robust solutions that meet business needs effectively. You are comfortable working with REST APIs and have a solid understanding of SQL for database interactions. Your genuine interest in AI agents and orchestrated workflows drives your passion for creating intelligent automation ecosystems. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence product and engineering direction. You demonstrate an ownership mindset, taking initiative to drive projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be a plus, as would familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices. A background in enterprise software development or orchestration tools is also advantageous.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features for Workato's enterprise orchestration platform. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your work will involve writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables. You will also troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Additionally, you will participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and agility of our clients' operations.
