Overview

Angi is seeking a Senior Analyst, Indirect Tax to manage US Sales and Use Tax compliance and accounting. You'll work with SQL and tax calculation systems to ensure accurate filings across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires expertise in tax compliance and accounting.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in tax compliance, particularly in US Sales and Use Tax, with hands-on experience preparing and reviewing compliance filings across multiple jurisdictions. Your attention to detail ensures that all jurisdictional deadlines are met, and you are adept at managing a detailed tax filing calendar. You have experience coordinating with third-party service providers for data exchange and tax payments, ensuring timely remittance and accuracy in filings.

You are familiar with tax calculation engines such as Vertex or Avalara, and you have executed data uploads and reconciled reports to maintain accurate tax determination. Your analytical skills are complemented by your ability to participate actively in system testing and audit support, making you a valuable asset in any tax-related project.

Desirable

Experience with tax accounting and reconciliation is a plus, as is familiarity with various tax jurisdictions. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and can effectively communicate with team members and external partners.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the daily US Sales and Use Tax function, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will prepare and review monthly and quarterly SUT returns, coordinating closely with various jurisdictions to meet all deadlines. Your responsibilities will include managing the tax filing calendar and ensuring that all filings are accurate and submitted on time.

You will also be responsible for the monthly tax accounting and reconciliation processes, ensuring that all tax-related entries are accurately reflected in the financial statements. Your role will involve executing data uploads and performing initial testing of tax calculation systems to ensure they function correctly and deliver accurate results.

Additionally, you will actively participate in audit support, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors as required. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying any discrepancies and resolving them promptly.
