Overview

Amazon is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager for their Infrastructure Energy Team to oversee large-scale HV/MV grid interconnection projects in EMEA. You'll leverage your technical expertise in infrastructure projects and stakeholder management to ensure timely delivery.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience managing HV/MV infrastructure projects, demonstrating a strong technical understanding of substations, cables, and overhead lines. Your background includes delivering projects from design to energization, ensuring that you meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, including design engineering, construction, planning, and environmental teams. Your ability to manage stakeholders and report on project risks and issues at senior management levels is a key strength. You are results-oriented and thrive in fast-paced environments, driving the grid infrastructure delivery program with a focus on standardizing processes and developing tools for execution.

Desirable

Experience in financial budgeting and project management tools will be advantageous. Familiarity with AWS Infrastructure Services and their operational requirements will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects across EMEA. You will be responsible for coordinating with various teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your role will involve developing and standardizing processes that enhance project execution and efficiency. You will also be tasked with driving the grid infrastructure delivery program, which includes managing project timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications. Regular reporting to senior management, directors, and vice presidents will be a critical part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all parties are informed of project progress and challenges. You will work closely with design engineering teams to ensure that all technical specifications are met and that projects align with AWS's operational standards. Your leadership will be essential in fostering collaboration among teams and ensuring that project goals are achieved.
