Who you are

You have extensive experience in accounting, particularly in managing compliance and financial reporting for international subsidiaries. Your expertise in international accounting standards allows you to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for various business transactions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams to ensure financial compliance. Your attention to detail and process improvement mindset drive accuracy and efficiency in accounting practices.

You are comfortable preparing and reviewing financial statements and leading local statutory audits. Your ability to coordinate intercompany accounting ensures that transactions are recorded accurately and timely. You embrace challenges and are eager to contribute to the financial health of the organization.

Desirable

Experience with international accounting standards and regulations is a plus. Familiarity with financial software and tools can enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are proactive in suggesting process improvements and have a keen interest in driving efficiency within the accounting function.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the accounting and compliance function for a portion of Udacity's international subsidiaries. You will determine the accounting treatment for business transactions and create accounting records in compliance with applicable international accounting standards. Collaborating with outside service providers, you will ensure that financial and related compliance is maintained in-country.

You will prepare and review financial statements for regional international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. Leading local statutory audits and managing tax requirements will be key responsibilities. You will coordinate closely with parent and other related entities to ensure intercompany accounting is performed accurately and on time.

Your input will be valued as you suggest process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency in the accounting function. You will work with various internal teams globally, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve financial compliance and reporting objectives.
