As a Program Manager II in Global Logistics Exports, you'll lead strategic forecasting initiatives that shape Amazon's global transportation networks. You'll own end-to-end forecasting processes for emerging marketplaces, drive accuracy improvements, and partner with diverse stakeholders to align demand forecasts with available capacity. This role combines analytical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance our export operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive weekly forecasting processes in partnership with operations and business stakeholders
- Develop and implement innovative forecasting strategies to improve accuracy
- Conduct data analytics to identify trends and incorporate learnings into forecast processes
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to address complex business scenarios
- Establish and maintain KPI reporting frameworks
- Collaborate with senior management to support strategic business initiatives
- Identify and mitigate potential risks before they impact operations
- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure metric quality and accuracy
A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing key forecasting metrics and accuracy indicators. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with analysts to automate reporting processes and work closely with business teams to understand demand patterns. You'll participate in cross-functional meetings to align capacity planning with business needs. Your afternoon might involve conducting deep-dive analyses on datasets to uncover optimization opportunities or partnering with data engineering teams to enhance metric quality.

The Global Logistics (GL) Exports team is dedicated to building and managing the transportation networks that connect Amazon's export marketplaces to customers worldwide. Our Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) team focuses on aligning demand forecasts with available capacity. - 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Supply chain, transportation, or logistic network management solution experience- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
