Offensive Security Engineer, Assessments (Web3)

You have a strong background in offensive security, with at least 5 years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. Your expertise in Web3 technologies, including Solidity and Web3.js, allows you to identify and mitigate security risks effectively. You are familiar with industry standards and frameworks such as OWASP, which guide your approach to security assessments. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols and practices. You are passionate about the crypto space and understand the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the offensive security efforts at Coinbase, focusing on Web3 applications and services. You will collaborate with the Bug Bounty Program Lead to drive the optimization of the bug bounty program, ensuring that it effectively identifies vulnerabilities in our systems. You will conduct thorough penetration tests on Web3 platforms, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve security posture. You will also engage with the broader security community, sharing findings and best practices to foster a culture of security awareness. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and integrity of Coinbase's products and services, helping to protect our users and their assets.
