Stripe is seeking a Commercial Counsel to support their Stablecoin & Crypto team, leading complex negotiations and advising on legal issues. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure compliance and growth in Stripe's crypto offerings.
You have a strong background in commercial law with a focus on the fintech sector, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise includes leading negotiations and advising on a wide range of commercial and legal issues, particularly in the payments and cryptocurrency space. You are familiar with regulatory frameworks and have a working knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes such as CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA. You thrive in high-growth environments and have prior in-house experience advising technology companies. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Legal, and external counsel, is essential for success in this role.
Experience with AI technology and LLM tools to improve legal processes is a plus. Familiarity with Stripe’s product offerings, particularly in crypto and stablecoin, will help you navigate the complexities of this role effectively.
