This role requires experience with SaaS management platforms and strategic leadership skills.

Job Description

About the Role

Join our rapidly growing tech company as a foundational leader building our global Software Asset Management (SAM) function from the ground up. With plans to double to 20,000 employees, we need a visionary operator who can design and scale world-class SAM processes, utilizing best-in-class SaaS management platforms (such as Zylo or Torii) and building high-performance teams that support innovation, security, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, launch, and scale a comprehensive global SAM program—delivering centralized visibility, governance, risk management, and spend optimization as we rapidly expand.
  • Select, implement, and maximize enterprise SaaS management platforms (Xylo, Torii, etc.), ensuring robust discovery, automation, renewal management, license tracking, and shadow IT oversight.
  • Design scalable processes for onboarding/offboarding, license reclamation, contract renewal, compliance, and proactive cost control.
  • Build and lead a distributed, high-performing team—setting clear goals, coaching talent, and fostering a data-driven, collaborative culture from day one.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators for asset utilization, savings, compliance, and risk.
  • Partner closely with procurement, IT operations, finance, security, and engineering to align asset management with business priorities and global requirements.
  • Stay ahead of emerging SaaS trends, security risks, and regulatory changes to ensure our program evolves with the business.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in software asset management, IT operations, or IT procurement in a large-scale, multi-national organization.
  • Proven track record of launching new SAM teams or functions—designing processes, recruiting talent, and delivering operational excellence from inception.
  • Deep expertise with at least one leading SaaS management platform (e.g., Zylo, Torii, BetterCloud, Productiv); able to drive implementation, customization, and strategic adoption.
  • In-depth understanding of SaaS licensing, usage monitoring, shadow IT, contracts, compliance, renewal workflows, and automation.
  • Strong strategic mindset; able to balance vision with hands-on execution in high-growth, high-change environments.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; capable of influencing cross-functional teams at all levels.
