Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in team leadership, particularly in logistics or transportation, where you've successfully managed operations and driven performance improvements. Your ability to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations sets you apart, as does your strong communication skills — you can clearly articulate goals and expectations to your team. You thrive in environments that require continuous improvement and are adept at analyzing data to identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.

Your experience includes defining and executing operational processes, ensuring that your team is well-prepared for peak delivery times. You understand the importance of maintaining a motivated and performance-driven team, and you actively engage with your associates to foster a positive work environment. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration and empowerment, enabling your team to achieve their best results.

Desirable

Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Kaizen is a plus, as is familiarity with performance management systems. You are comfortable using data analytics tools to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency. A background in customer service or logistics will enhance your ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.

What you'll do

As the Channel Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing shift operations at our delivery centers, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively. You will support the DC manager in performance management, helping to drive the operational plan and achieve key performance indicators. Your role will involve defining and building the delivery process from the delivery station to the customer address, ensuring that your team is adequately staffed and prepared for peak delivery times.

You will engage closely with the delivery team, developing and maintaining a highly motivated workforce. Continuous improvement will be a key focus of your role, as you will work to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work. You will analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and implement formal process control and improvement mechanisms.

Your leadership capabilities will be crucial as you navigate the challenges of managing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. You will need to communicate effectively with your team, explaining what needs to be done to achieve the best results for our customers. Your ability to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations will be essential as you strive to meet operational goals.

What we offer

At Amazon, we are committed to being the most customer-centric company on earth. We offer a dynamic work environment where you can grow your career and make a significant impact. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the success of our delivery operations. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective and skills could be just what we need to enhance our team.

We provide competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Join us in our mission to deliver exceptional service to our customers and be part of a company that values innovation and excellence.
