Venn is hiring a Staff Front End Engineer to build modern web applications that are responsive and accessible. You'll work with technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, and React in Toronto. This position requires 6+ years of professional front-end development experience.
You have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in responsive front-end development, showcasing your ability to build modern web applications that are both performant and accessible. Your expertise in JavaScript and front-end technologies, including TypeScript, React, and Next.js, allows you to make key decisions on frontend architecture effectively. You have extensive experience with JavaScript testing libraries, such as Jest and React Testing Library, ensuring high-quality code through rigorous testing practices. Your strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, combined with an eye for good contract design, enables you to drive the creation and maintenance of API contracts between front-end and backend systems. You are familiar with design tools like Figma, which aids in your collaborative work with cross-disciplinary teams. You possess a heavy bias towards usability and user experience, understanding that these elements are crucial in modern web applications. You are eligible to work in Canada and are eager to contribute to a fast-growing fintech environment.
Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup is a bonus, as is any background in fintech, which would further enhance your fit for this role.
