Neuralink is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop and optimize embedded software for robotic surgery applications. You'll work with technologies like C and C++ in a collaborative environment. This role requires a strong background in embedded systems and robotics.
You have a proven track record in firmware development, particularly in embedded systems, and are comfortable working with C and C++. Your experience includes developing software for robotics applications, and you understand the importance of safety and reliability in medical devices. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for advancing technology that can significantly impact human health.
Experience with robotics and automated systems is a plus, as is familiarity with medical device regulations. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, and you have a strong desire to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in neuroscience and robotics.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing embedded software for robotic surgery applications. You will streamline the codebase by refining and retiring legacy embedded software, ensuring that all systems meet the highest safety and reliability standards. Rigorous testing and validation of software systems will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will participating in peer code reviews to maintain code quality. You will also write drivers and applications to extend the functionality of our robotics, specifying hardware and software choices as we develop future hardware platforms. Your contributions will play a critical role in the safe and effective implantation of Neuralink's groundbreaking devices.
