Tekion is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines within the AWS ecosystem. You'll work with technologies like S3, Glue, and Redshift to enable analytics and AI/ML insights. This role requires strong experience in SaaS platforms and data engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments, particularly within the AWS ecosystem. Your expertise includes designing scalable and secure data solutions that support analytics and machine learning initiatives. You are proficient in using tools such as dbt and Airflow to implement ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring data quality and integrity across large-scale data environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with data scientists, product managers, and business teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
You possess a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and have experience optimizing data lakes for SaaS metrics and analytics. Your technical skills include working with AWS services like Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Kinesis, enabling you to create efficient data architectures that drive business insights. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues effectively.
Experience with additional data processing frameworks or languages is a plus, as is familiarity with data governance and compliance standards. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices within the organization.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that facilitate the flow of data across various systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
