Data Center Operations Facility Manager

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 4 years of experience in data center operations or relevant operational experience in industries such as power generation or industrial manufacturing. You possess 2 years of experience managing technical teams and vendors responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure. Your leadership skills are excellent, allowing you to collaborate effectively at all levels within the organization. You are knowledgeable about electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment and are committed to fostering a collaborative and friendly work environment.

Desirable

A Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Experience in collaborating with business units to meet company goals and standards is a plus. You have a creative and organized approach to customer service, ensuring that clients are satisfied and that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of Google's data centers, ensuring that all systems function optimally. You will develop strategies to minimize operational costs while improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Your responsibilities will include managing technical teams, driving site-level development of programs and initiatives, and incorporating knowledge to determine design improvements for next-generation data centers. You will work closely with various business units to align operational goals with company standards, ensuring that all teams are working towards common objectives.
