Google is seeking a Senior Consultant for their Red Team at Mandiant Consulting to provide cybersecurity consulting services. You'll assess and advise clients on security best practices while leveraging your expertise in offensive security and various technical areas. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity, along with at least 5 years of experience in three of the following security areas: network, web application/mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, and tool development. Your expertise extends to four or more of the following: network protocols, threat intelligence analysis, system and network administration, project management, developing applications, technical incident response processes, source code review, and reverse engineering. You possess a strong background in offensive security and operating system security across Windows, Linux, or Mac. Additionally, you hold certifications related to offensive security, such as OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CISSP, CISA, or relevant SANS courses.
You have experience working with local sales and management teams to drive consulting business generation, scoping, or client management. Your ability to create security tools and understand underlying programming languages, including Python, C#, C/C++, Rust, Nim, or similar, sets you apart. You excel in communicating technical details through reporting and presentations to both technical and executive audiences, showcasing your excellent communication, collaboration, and public speaking skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing cybersecurity consulting services and support to clients, assessing and advising them on both technical and process-based controls for various environments. You will perform Red and Purple team assessments, including adversarial emulation of cyber attacks against customer organizations, and engage in other technical cyber offensive security engagements of varied nature. Your responsibilities will include interfacing with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations, and tracking and driving to close any issues that impact the engagements and their value to clients. You will also advise clients on security best practices for remediating discovered issues and collaborate with internal teams to expand capabilities to deliver further value to clients.
