Vanta is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to manage complex accounting tasks including revenue reconciliations and reporting. You'll work cross-functionally to improve accounting operations and support the company's growth. This role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in dynamic environments.
You are a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong background in revenue accounting and financial reporting. With 5+ years of experience in accounting, you thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at managing complex financial tasks. You possess a keen understanding of revenue recognition principles and are skilled in preparing journal entries and reconciliations. Your systems-savvy approach allows you to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable processes that enhance operational excellence. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between accounting rigor and operational needs. Your ability to adapt to a rapidly growing company makes you an ideal fit for Vanta's finance team.
Experience with accounting software and automation tools is a plus. Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 will be beneficial in this role. A proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement will help you excel in this position.
As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Vanta, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and the evolution of accounting operations. You will own complex areas of the close process, including revenue reconciliations, revenue reporting, and commission deferrals and accruals. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing lower-risk areas such as cash payout postings to ensure completeness and accuracy. Beyond the close process, you will identify inefficiencies and build automation to streamline operations. You will collaborate with teams across FP&A, Engineering, Billing Operations, Deal Desk, and Business Systems to ensure that accounting practices align with operational excellence. Your contributions will directly impact the company's ability to scale and maintain trust with its clients.
