Amazon is hiring a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to maintain vital machinery and ensure operational efficiency. You'll be responsible for proactive maintenance and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse. This role requires adherence to health and safety practices.
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a wide range of equipment and workspaces at Amazon. You are committed to upholding health and safety best practices, ensuring that your colleagues are safe and that machinery downtime is minimized. You have a proactive approach to maintenance, focusing on preventative tasks to enhance the operational environment. You are also willing to support the development of on-site apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to machinery issues and carrying out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse. Your ability to use the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness is essential, as is your dedication to continuous improvement projects. You understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration, working alongside senior colleagues and liaising with contractors when necessary.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance on site equipment to ensure it operates safely and efficiently. You will respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating and implementing solutions to minimize disruption. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining equipment, conducting fault diagnosis, and making suggestions for long-term improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
You will work on a range of shifts to ensure that Amazon's sites are supported around the clock. Your proactive maintenance efforts will contribute to boosting the availability and quality of equipment, ultimately leading to better results for customers. You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects, rolling out best practices across various EU sites to enhance overall operational performance.
