The Amazon Devices group delivers delightfully unique Amazon experiences, giving customers instant access to everything, digital or physical. This is a unique technical role where you will have the opportunity to influence, invent, and design system architecture across multiple product and technology spaces (Alexa devices, IoT devices, etc.). You will join a team whose mission is to ensure that state-of-the-art technologies serving the customer are supported via flexible software architectures, Agentic AI, OS and Hardware Platform abstraction, test-ability, and scalability across multiple device types.
You will be a technical leader who will deliver features and capabilities that app developers will use to build world class experiences for Amazon customers. You will work with teams across every layer of software as well as with app developers to build the right solutions.
A day in the life
You will be part of an agile development team following innovative best practices in software development where you’ll write code, use Agentic AI, work on technical designs and architecture. We are building the tools to measure and solve app performance problems, enabling you to interact with product teams to gather requirements, to provide technical solutions that are required for next generation products. One of the important aspects of the role is to develop the best and build a truly unique Agentic AI based performance tooling product to deliver the best app performance and development experience.
About the team
Our team exists to enable application teams to swiftly create delightful, and performant applications that span across Amazon and our external partner devices. We are responsible for delivering Agentic AI based tools to measure app performance and profile app code to find performance issues. As a part of the Device OS organization, you’ll get to interact and work with multiple teams to develop an ecosystem end to end covering product conception to shipping on the vast number of Amazon devices in the field.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
