Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in managing operations within complex environments, ideally in the aerospace or engineering sectors. Your background includes overseeing facility management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing operational efficiency. You are skilled in coordinating logistics and managing vendor relationships, ensuring that all site activities run smoothly and safely. You possess strong leadership qualities, enabling you to guide teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety and compliance. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to enhance operational reliability. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors and internal teams, is a key strength. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance site operations.

What you'll do

As the Site Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the test site in Bordeaux, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing work orders, and ensuring that critical utilities are operational. Your role will involve overseeing the fit-out and relocation of office, lab, and test areas, including managing contractor pre-qualification and risk assessments. You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, particularly for dangerous goods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Implementing the company's EHS Management System will be a critical part of your responsibilities, driving incident reporting and corrective actions. You will also own emergency preparedness, developing evacuation plans and conducting drills to ensure staff readiness. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining a safe and compliant operational environment, contributing to the overall success of The Exploration Company's mission.
