You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience, along with 12 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. Your background includes extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing sourcing, particularly in foundry pricing models, wafer cost structures, and packaging logistics. You are skilled in category or commodity management, contract negotiation, and supplier development, making you a strong candidate for this role.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or an MBA. You have experience negotiating complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and capacity guarantees with key semiconductor manufacturers. Your expertise extends to guiding silicon products from initial Tape-Out (NPI) through to high-volume ramp and sustaining production, showcasing your ability to manage the lifecycle of semiconductor products effectively.
You possess sourcing experience specifically for 2.5D/3D advanced packaging and complex substrates, which is crucial for the role. Your proven track record of enabling Customer Owned Tooling (COT) or Hybrid-COT models demonstrates your capability in managing direct commercial relationships. As a Commodity Manager, you work closely with Engineering teams to ensure that Google has the necessary supplies and equipment to bring innovative products to production.
In this role, you will influence third-party strategy at the executive level and manage full responsibility for an increasing number of vendors, suppliers, technologies, or product components. You will negotiate all types of contracts with various vendors or suppliers across multiple domains, exercising full autonomy in your decision-making. Your responsibilities will include managing programmatically interdependent projects to achieve business goals, ensuring that all procurement activities align with Google's strategic objectives.
You will leverage your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize Google's total cost of ownership for its global infrastructure. You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and innovations in the supply chain.
Google offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact on the company's operations and strategy. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
