Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Your attention to detail ensures that you maintain high standards of uptime and reliability in mission-critical environments. Experience with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment is a plus. Familiarity with AWS infrastructure services will help you excel in this role. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center, including stand-by diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, where you will diagnose issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime. You will also participate in routine maintenance checks and assist in the implementation of upgrades and improvements to existing systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you contribute to the overall success of the data center operations.
