The Transportation Operations Management team is looking for a Regional Manager with leadership experience to own and execute strategic and cross-functional yard operations.
An ideal candidate is organized and has excellent program management skills. He/she has the ability to lead and mentor people; analyze data and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. One of the main responsibilities in this role is to standardize and improve processes; while analyzing and eliminating root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at a local (facility) and Network level.

Key job responsibilities
Lead operations with focus on efficiency, safety, and service quality. Responsibilities include resource planning based on daily/weekly forecasts, optimizing middle-mile operations, and maximizing container utilization. Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration with Sort center and transportation teams. Develop and monitor KPIs, create management reports, and implement innovative solutions for yard management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily yard operations and resource allocation
• Drive performance improvements in truck and container utilization
• Lead safety and quality initiatives
• Facilitate communication between fulfillment and transportation teams
• Develop analytics and process improvements
• Create dashboard using SQL
• Own Safety procedures within site yard
• Work closely with ACES team to write procedures and set standards;
• Own Transshipment metrics and performance;
A day in the life
The Transportation Area Manager has complete responsibility for Transportation Operations at Sort Center. This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our internal goals while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.- Bachelors degree;
- Experience in logistics operations management;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- Technology-driven mindset;
- English in intermediate level;
- Experience with SQL;- Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques;
- Experience working in another logistics environment;
- Post-graduate degree;
