Software Engineer (Data Exchange)

Who you are

You are a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in backend development, ideally with experience in building and maintaining APIs. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working cross-functionally with various teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable code. Your curiosity drives you to explore new technologies and improve existing systems, ensuring that you contribute effectively to Earnin's mission of providing financial flexibility to users.

You possess a solid understanding of Java and have experience with REST API design and implementation. You are comfortable breaking down complex problems into actionable tasks and thrive in an environment where you can contribute to the growth of backend features. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member.

Desirable

Experience with cloud services or microservices architecture would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies. You are open to learning and adapting to new tools and technologies that can enhance your work and the team's productivity.

What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of backend features that support Earnin's growth. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to build and maintain APIs that power Earnin's product experiences. Your responsibilities will include writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, and participating in design discussions to ensure that the backend services are scalable and efficient.

You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in production, ensuring that the services remain reliable and performant. As part of a hybrid team, you will have the opportunity to work both in the Bangkok office and remotely, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.
