Overview

Druva is seeking a Lead Engineering Manager to oversee a team of senior engineers responsible for delivering features for scale-out distributed systems. You'll implement lean engineering practices and mentor your team. This role requires a strong background in engineering management and relevant technical skills.

Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering management, with experience leading teams of senior engineers in delivering features for scale-out distributed systems and applications. Your technical expertise allows you to engage deeply with the product development lifecycle, from planning and design to delivery and maintenance. You are skilled in implementing lean engineering practices such as CI/CD and TDD, ensuring that your team operates efficiently and effectively. You understand the importance of mentoring and providing feedback to your team members, helping them grow in their careers.

You hold a B.Tech/B.E/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field, which has equipped you with the foundational knowledge necessary for this role. Your experience includes not only technical leadership but also talent management, where you have successfully defined team structures and contributed to hiring processes. You are passionate about fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-based platforms and data security solutions would be a plus, as it aligns with Druva's mission to provide autonomous data protection. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a track record of implementing best practices in software development will further enhance your candidacy.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Druva, you will lead a team of senior engineers, guiding them through the full product development lifecycle. You will be responsible for product roadmap planning, requirements specification, design, delivery, testing, documentation, and release management. Your role will involve establishing lean engineering practices, such as CI/CD and TDD, to enhance the team's productivity and code quality.

You will coach and mentor your team members, providing regular feedback and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
