SystemverilogUvmDpuSocVerification

Job Description

Overview

Design Verification Engineer - Azure DPU Silicon | Microsoft

Help build the silicon that powers the Microsoft Cloud.

The Azure DPU Silicon team designs and delivers custom Data Processing Units (DPUs) that accelerate Azure’s compute, storage, and networking infrastructure. These advanced SoCs integrate programmable compute, high-speed networking, and memory subsystems, forming the hardware foundation for the next generation of cloud efficiency, security, and performance.

We’re looking for experienced Design Verification Engineers who are passionate about solving complex hardware challenges at hyperscale. You’ll join a cross-functional team of architects, designers, and verification experts working together to ensure first-silicon success for some of the most sophisticated chips in the cloud industry.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Define and execute block and subsystem-level verification strategy for DPU IPs
  • Develop SystemVerilog UVM testbenches, environments, and reusable components
  • Create constrained-random and directed tests, assertions, and functional coverage
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, RTL design, and post-silicon validation teams
  • Drive improvements in verification methodology, automation, and debug efficiency
  • Contribute to system-level validation and co-simulation with software and firmware teams

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • 5–12 years of experience in ASIC/SoC design verification
  • Strong proficiency in System Verilog and UVM methodology
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture, networking, or memory subsystems
  • Experience with high-speed I/O (PCIe, Ethernet) or NIC/acceleration pipelines preferred
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong technical ownership

Why Microsoft Azure Silicon

You’ll work on industry-defining silicon for one of the world’s largest cloud platforms, where hardware innovation directly impacts millions of customers. Join us in building the future of cloud-scale computing from the silicon up.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
