Overview

Brex is seeking a Director of Mid Market Sales to lead a team of Account Executives focused on acquiring new customers. This role requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills to drive sales performance.

You have a proven track record in sales leadership, with at least 5 years of experience managing high-performing teams. You understand the nuances of the mid-market segment and have successfully driven growth in similar roles. Your leadership style is hands-on, blending strategic oversight with in-depth coaching to elevate your team's performance. You are passionate about developing talent and creating a culture of success, where every team member feels empowered to contribute to the company's goals.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with ambiguity. You have a strong analytical mindset, enabling you to make data-driven decisions that enhance sales strategies. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate the vision and motivate your team effectively. You believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, where different perspectives lead to innovative solutions.

Desirable

Experience in the fintech or SaaS industry is a plus, as is familiarity with AI-powered platforms. You have a network of contacts in the mid-market space and can leverage these relationships to accelerate growth. A background in strategic planning and execution will help you navigate the complexities of the sales landscape.

What you'll do

As the Director of Mid Market Sales at Brex, you will lead a team of 5-7 Account Executives dedicated to acquiring new customers. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the sales strategy for the mid-market segment, ensuring that your team meets and exceeds their quotas. You will analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth, developing targeted strategies that resonate with potential clients.

You will be involved in the hiring and development of your team, focusing on building a high-performing culture that celebrates success and encourages collaboration. Regular coaching sessions will be a key part of your role, as you work closely with your team to refine their sales techniques and enhance their performance.

In addition to managing your team, you will collaborate with other departments, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment on customer needs and market positioning. You will also be responsible for reporting on sales performance metrics and providing insights to the executive team to inform strategic decisions.
