Senior Security Engineer, TDI

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on DevSecOps practices. Your deep technical expertise allows you to troubleshoot complex environments effectively, and you have a proven track record of driving measurable improvements in security posture across various systems. You are comfortable coaching and mentoring teams on vulnerability remediation, ensuring that security best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle.

Your experience includes working with cloud environments, particularly AWS, and you are familiar with implementing scalable security controls. You understand the importance of automation in security processes and have hands-on experience with tools that facilitate scanning and remediation workflows. You are a lifelong learner who embraces diverse perspectives and is eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Desirable

Experience with identity management solutions, particularly Okta, is a plus. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations will enhance your ability to navigate security challenges effectively. You are proactive in identifying potential vulnerabilities and have a strategic mindset that allows you to balance tactical execution with long-term security goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be embedded within the TDI BT Security team, working closely with engineering and operations teams to strengthen Okta's security posture. You will lead initiatives to implement security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and business systems, ensuring that security is a core consideration in all technical environments. Your responsibilities will include performing vulnerability assessments, validating remediations, and coaching teams on best practices for security.

You will collaborate with Security, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Engineering teams to automate security processes and enhance the overall security framework. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies for vulnerability management, ensuring that security measures are effective and aligned with business objectives. You will also participate in incident response activities, helping to mitigate risks and respond to security incidents as they arise.
