SPAN is seeking a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and implementation of next-generation infrastructure and developer platforms. You'll work with AWS, Kubernetes, and Istio to deliver scalable systems. This role requires experience in DevOps and automation.
You have a strong background in DevOps engineering with at least 5 years of experience in designing and maintaining infrastructure in cloud environments. Your expertise in AWS allows you to leverage its services effectively, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. You are proficient in Kubernetes and understand how to manage containerized applications in a microservices architecture. Your experience with tools like Pulumi and Istio enables you to automate deployments and manage service meshes efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with development teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling strategies. You are passionate about building innovative platform solutions that drive exceptional customer value.
Experience with IoT integrations and a solid understanding of security practices in cloud environments would be advantageous. Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and tools is also a plus, as it aligns with our mission to automate and refine our processes continuously.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of our next-generation infrastructure, focusing on automation and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape our developer platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of our engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include automating and improving our AWS operations, refining CI/CD pipelines, and integrating IoT solutions into our infrastructure. You will also play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and security of our systems, ensuring that they can scale effectively as we grow. You will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to electrify the built environment and reduce carbon emissions.
