You have over 7 years of experience in integrations, specifically in creating developer tools or IDE extensions. Your background includes a strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, ideally TypeScript along with others such as Python, Go, or Rust. You are a rapid experimenter who can iterate quickly on product ideas, focusing on simplicity, performance, and usability. Your passion lies in AI-assisted development and improving developer workflows, making you a perfect fit for this role. You thrive in collaborative environments and value the relationships built through teamwork.
Desirable
Experience with Datadog's services and technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with observability data. You are pragmatic and understand the importance of usability in developer tools, ensuring that the features you build empower engineers to understand their code and systems in real time.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the IDE Integrations team, you will design and implement developer tools that surface Datadog observability data within VS Code and Cursor. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams across Datadog, working on products such as Logs, Error Tracking, and Dynamic Instrumentation. Your role will involve owning a key piece of a high-visibility, user-facing product that directly impacts developer experience. You will integrate Datadog services and technologies into the Datadog extension for Cursor and VS Code, building features and tools that enhance the everyday workflows of developers.
